I was sitting on Facebook one day avoiding the work I needed to do (c’mon, we all do it!), when I saw that Casey Hendrickson was putting on a workshop and styled shoot at Ritchie Hill, a newer venue in Concord. With something so close, I knew it was the perfect opportunity for Kellie and I to attend to check out a venue, make some new connections and hopefully learn a few things. This was our first workshop together and it was definitely a great one to start with!
Workshops are a fantastic opportunity for photographers to try new shots, take some risks, and perfect new techniques without the responsibility of an actual wedding. It’s also a great place to talk shop and mingle amongst our peers. I also really enjoy meeting other vendors because we will often bump into one another throughout the course of a busy wedding season. The workshop venue could not have been more beautiful. As a Concord Wedding Photographer, I’ve seen many venues, and this one meets the highest standards of southern charm and hospitality. The amazing decor provided by the vendors was simply stunning. It was filled with rich jewel tones and vintage details. A purple and gold wedding?! Yes, please!
Here’s a glimpse of not only some of my shots from the day, but also some of Kellie’s. She has been such an integral part of Katherine Elena Photography for the past year and a half. Wedding season is swinging into full gear, and I am so excited to go into another season with her by my side!
Thank you to these wonderful vendors:

And last but not least, a few from Kellie!
