After photographing Virginia and Kyle’s engagement session at her cousin’s amazing farm in Matthews, I could not WAIT for their Renfrow Farms wedding! I was nervously checking the weather all week because two days beforehand it said 100% chance of rain. By the time their wedding came around, it could not have been a more beautiful day! Complete with a gorgeous Carolina sunset. Virginia and Kyle love family and tradition and really included a lot of special things in their wedding day. All the flowers were grown on the farm and were absolutely beautiful! Virginia also wore a dress that was handed down from her mother and her grandmother before her. So cool! The entire crowd danced the night away and had so much fun. Congratulations, Virginia & Kyle! We absolutely love couples like you 🙂
From thee bride:Â Kyle and I met in the summer of 2015, at work! We both started with our current company around the same time. Kyle had a temporary desk near mine, and I was intrigued from the very first time I saw him. I introduced myself first and he asked for help with the printer – the rest is history! We bonded over sending memes and YouTube videos through IM, which eventually lead to him asking me to go to lunch, and then our first official date to the USC/UNC football game (go Gamecocks – boo Tarheels!)
From the bride:Â So let’s go all the way back to the very first week we met. We went to lunch on August 12th, 2015 (Kyle’s birthday!) and my Grandmother passed away on August 18th, 2015. I found out while I was at work early one morning, and Kyle was one of the only people in the office and saw me crying. The next day, he wrote me the sweetest card I had ever received and I knew he was special.
Fast forward to November 2017…Kyle bought a house in Fort Mill and when putting his offer in, he wrote a letter to the homeowners about why they should sell to him. He never let me read the letter. The night of May 6th, I came into the living room and he had the letter sitting on the coffee table, and I finally got to read the sweet words he had written about wanting to buy the house for us to move into once we’re married and to make our first home. To bring the story full circle, he proposed with my Grandmother’s ring, and even though she never got to meet him, she played a huge role in my life and our relationship from the very beginning – afterall, it was Kyle’s card after her passing that made me realize just how special he is. Now I have her ring, and am wearing her wedding dress (which my mom also wore!) to remind me of those moments and of the wonderful marriage example she and my Grandfather set for 60 years.
