Ivy & Logan had the most beautiful, intimate country wedding at their church in Cherryville. Then we made our way to this INCREDIBLE hidden gem for their reception at De Starté Bed & Breakfast! It was exactly what they wanted and couldn’t have been more “them”. We were so lucky to beat the rain, especially since their open-air reception was just perfect! Watching them dance under the stars felt like we were in some quaint little town in Europe. One detail that I will definitely never forget was the adorable detail that the bride included for her late father. Her and her brother each had a heart stitched onto their dress/suit that was made from one of their dad’s shirts. It’s a must see! Congratulations, Ivy & Logan! You two deserve all the happiness in the world because you truly are the sweetest people!
From the bride: We met sophomore year at Appalachian State (which is why they wanted their engagement session to be in the mountains!). We immediately had a connection and become best friends! Our last semester I moved upstairs in the duplex Logan was living in. We had a blast! We never dated in college but remained friends until March 2015 when I confessed how much I liked Logan. Luckily he liked me too. The rest his history!
From the bride: Logan made dinner reservations at Capital Grill in Charlotte. We got ready went and the dinner was amazing! Halfway through, Logan got up and went to the bathroom. He was there foreverrrrr. He finally came back and we finished up. We left and went walking downtown and he asked if I wanted to go to Romare Bearden Park. Anytime we go to Charlotte we manage to end up at that park. When we came up to the park there was a massive fund raiser festival going on. There wasn’t much area to walk around so we just walked down the pathways. Logan kept acting really weird and finally started telling me how he felt about me and the next thing I know he’s down on one knee proposing! I freaked, cried, laughed and immediately said “yes!” As soon as I looked up there comes my brother with a camera filming what he could (he lost us among the festival so didn’t quite capture the proposal but none the less it was perfect!) My mom, his mom, and bother all showed up and we went for drinks to celebrate. It was a perfect night and the perfect proposal!
