This is undoubtedly one of the most exciting times in your lives and choosing someone to capture it is a huge decision. I absolutely love everything about weddings and about all of the couples that I get a chance to work with. My philosophy as a wedding photographer is that I don't want to be just another check off your list. I want to get to know YOU as a person, as a couple, as a friend. Throughout our time together, you'll get lots of special goodies and some amazing information that can be found in my client magazine (yes, a magazine tailored just for my brides!).

the process
You decide you want to book Katherine Elena Photography (yay!) and I will send over the invoice and contract to be signed online. Then it's time to schedule your engagement session and any other sessions you included in your package. This is where the fun begins!
About a month before the wedding, I will send a questionnaire with all the information I need to create a timeline. We'll also set up a final meeting to go over all the important things! Then before you know it, it's time for the big day! Sit back and relax knowing you're in good hands.
When we meet, we will talk about the different packages, enjoy some coffee or tea, and talk about all the fun wedding details. We'll also go over the not so fun ones like retainers and contracts. We have packages starting at $3,800 with the average client spending approximately $5,500.
You're engaged! Or if you're like me, you know it's coming and you've already started searching for your perfect photographer (guilty). Whatever point in the process, it all begins with an in-person meeting so that we can get to know each other a little bit!

YES! I love to travel whenever I get the chance. Pricing for travel varies depending on the location, but for most locations within a couple hours of Charlotte are no extra charge! So if you've been dreaming of a Charleston wedding, we are right there with you! If you are considering a true destination wedding, PLEASE take us with you! Haha. But seriously...we will happily travel to be your photographers!

This is a big one! We get this question a lot, and for good reason. Picking out outfits can be nerve-wracking. My advice is to choose one casual and one formal outfit. That way you can have a wide variety. Also, go out and get yourself something new! If you're like me, you feel SO good in an outfit that you are wearing for the first time. That confidence really goes a long way in your photos!

After the wedding is over, days seem to feel like weeks when it comes to waiting to see your wedding photos. I have totally been there! I hate the waiting game as much as everyone else, so I do what I can to give photos back quickly. I always do a congratulatory social media post the day after the wedding and then within the week post your wedding to the blog. I wish I could get all the photos back that fast, but having control of the editing process is important to me and my brand, so it takes a few more weeks to get them all back! The longest you'd ever wait is 6 weeks.
