Freedom Park is one of the most picturesque and popular places in Charlotte for an engagement session. Every Spring, the cherry trees bloom with absolutely beautiful white flowers that only last a short time. Ashley and Martin were some of the lucky ones that managed to get engagement photos while the trees were in full bloom! It was such a perfect day. Top it all off with a bottle of wine from the Biltmore Estate (where Martin proposed!) and you have the perfect date. I love that this couple incorporated part of their love story into their session.
Locations for engagement sessions are pretty much endless. Nearly anything goes! Of course, there is something quite special about a spring engagement with the beautiful foliage in the background, and I cannot say enough good things about Charlotte’s own Freedom Park. With 98 acres to explore, it’s quite possible to find dozens of stunning settings. But the number one goal is to capture your love and a piece of your relationship in celebration of your upcoming nuptials. So let this session represent the two of you in location or in mementos. Perhaps your first date ended in chocolate cake? Eat cake or shoot near a bakery. If you’re avid hikers, let’s meet up in a heavily wooded area. There’s so many options and possibilities we can explore for your engagement session.

Ashley and Martin turned this session into a moment just for them. I had so much fun getting to know the two of them and getting a chance to shoot such a beautiful couple under the cherry trees! Here are a few of my favorite photos from their lovely engagement session in Freedom Park.
