I think the first time I saw the trailer for the new Beauty and the Beast, I actually squealed. I was SO excited to see a real-life version of one of my favorite Disney films. Thankfully, my good friend, Samie (Something Perfect), shared in my excitement so we decided to dream up a Beauty and the Beast wedding inspiration shoot in honor of the movie premier!
The Duke Mansion is the perfect location for a Disney wedding. From the beautiful gardens to the stately library, we knew there would be no better location to mimic the grande castle in the movie. A color palette of ice blue, yellow, red, and gold were used to incorporate all the classic colors from the movie, representing Belle’s provincial dress, her ballgown, the magic rose, and the richness of the castle, respectively.
Of course, teacups and books had to make an appearance on the table setting! The dress, a beautiful off-the-shoulder ballgown, was the perfect modern equivalent of Belle’s iconic yellow dress. Since we chose a cream colored dress, we still wanted to incorporate some yellow by including a gorgeous yellow diamond ring. The white lace shoes with crystal embellishments were the perfect addition for a princess bride.
Max, the adorable Pomeranian, stole the show in his role as “the beast” that won Belle’s heart. The perfectly delicate cake incorporated both the lace and ice blue elements and was decorated with fresh red rosebuds. The invitation suite tied all the elements together, inviting guests to a classic, romantic affair.
Finally, the bride was given the perfect Disney princess makeover, with a classic half-up hairstyle and beautiful natural makeup to enhance her stunning features. Even though the day before the shoot it was snowing, and the day of it was raining and cold, everything turned out as perfectly as we imagined!
A special thank you to these wonderful vendors that were a part of this shoot!
