One thing I love about being a wedding photographer in Charlotte is that no matter how many times you work at the same venue, no two weddings are ever the same. And they’re all incredible! I was SO excited for Joyce and Meng’s wedding because I knew it was going to be such a sweet and beautiful day because that’s what the two of them are. Also, their engagement session was one of my favorites ever! I was so in love with everything, from the watercolor invitation suite and the tulips on the tables, to Joyce’s wedding gown that was lovingly handmade by her Aunt! Incredible. Also, the bride did all the calligraphy herself. WHAT?!
From the bride: Meng and I had always known of each other from growing up in the same church. Meng played the bass guitar in the worship band and I really wanted to learn so that I could be a part of the Jr. Band. I asked him to teach me so he began picking me up for rehearsals and youth hangouts. After a couple of months of hangout and getting to know each other, we began dating.
From the bride: On February 4th, 2017, Meng took me to Asheville for a hot air balloon ride, which he knew was on my bucket list because of my love for the movie “Up” and my love for the Up soundtrack by Michael Giacchino. After flying thousands of feet in the air around the beautiful mountains of Asheville for about 30 minutes, he pulled out his phone and began playing the piano rendition of “Married Life” from the movie “Up”. He then proceeded to get down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
Congratulations to one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met! I know that you will have such a wonderful life together.
