As a Charlotte wedding photographer, I always hope that every client will be as sweet as the last. It’s definitely going to be hard to top this one. Abigail and Steve are just one of those couples that pull you in with their kindness and smiles. It was truly a wonderful experience getting to photograph their wedding.
Abigail & Steve met while living in Charlotte, but working in Boston for a consulting company. They spent every Monday and Thursday on the same flights in and out of Charlotte, and even got to have a few meals together during flight delays. Since their time working in Boston, they’ve never been on the same staffing schedule! When Steve knew he wanted to propose, he came up with a plan to take her to a fancy dinner in D.C. followed by a stroll to the Jefferson Memorial…but their night was cut short by poor shoe and meal choice! So instead, Steve woke up early the next morning, went out to buy Abigail flowers, and proposed to her right there in their home. Sometimes, things work out just the way they’re supposed to!
Their wedding at Byron’s Southend was full of laughter and love! I think my favorite moment of the day was seeing Steve tear up when Abigail walked down the aisle. It was priceless. Oh and the time when he dropped the ring as it was being handed to him! That gave everyone a good laugh (once they all knew he recovered it of course). We snuck out of the reception around sunset to get a few photos before the sun was completely down. We definitely didn’t expect the unbelievable sky that we came upon! It was the perfect sunset.
Congratulations Abigail & Steve! Here’s to many more years of laughter!
